![]() The nature of the problem is this: the key will depress on one side of the key, but the plunger in the center doesn't. They'll oc casionally miss stokes even though I can feel my fingers pressing them. It appears the button's pressing mechanisms (not sure if it's a membrane, scissor, or hybrid membrane and Google didn't return any details) are not adequately set up and spaced to cover the width of these wider keys. I've paired this keyboard with my Dell XPS laptop (because the key sizes and layout are similar, it made for a very easy transition), a 21:9 Ultrawide monitor, and now a lot more work space and a much better productivity level! The keys in the center of the keyboard are very comfortable and responsive, and the ten-key keyboard is a great addition. My complaints are with the shift key and the spacebar key, the two biggest offenders in cheap keyboards. Overall, this is a waste of money and Dell should either stop production of this unit or relaunch the same with fixing these issues. The mouse feels like a lesser replacement to my Logitch M705, especially in Excel and the browser. Just for them, I have switched to rechargeable batteries so that I can do some cost-cutting as I mostly work from home and don't want to purchase batteries every 45 days. ![]() ![]() On top of that the keyboard and mouse both eats battery like anything. For some reasons, all the keys are super hard and fast typing will lead to some miss-keying even if you are an expert typist. I have used so many keyboards (both pricy and cheap, mechanical and chiclet, wired and wireless) but never thought that typing can be this painful. This keyboard (using since SEP 2019), unfortunately, falls under the category where I have to force myself to make peace with. ~95% of the time I stay satisfied with the purchases I made and for the rest of the time either I have to raise refund requests or I have to adjust my days with those purchases. ![]() I typically do a lot of research before buying any stuff online and I only buy if my requirement checklist gets filled with ticks. ![]()
